Goes in easy; very solid for the head section of the radio. Seems like it might even be sturdy enough for the entire radio (1.5 - 2 pounds), maybe?
Just wish I could purchase the part that slips under the seat bolt so I could put that in my other cars - would make switching from car to car even easier and faster. -- works good for lightweight head of my mobile ham radio

Excellent product! Bought my wife another one for Christmas, she liked it so well. Works great with Pioneer XM portable radio in my 2010 Corolla. Flexible rod is sturdy and holds its shape well. My only compliant is with the two screws that hold the rod adapter to the seat bolt mount bracket, as they seem to be pretty soft. The screw heads deformed when tightened with a socket, so a drop of screw-strength Loctite may be a good idea on final installation. I had been using a window suction-cup mount to hold my XM radio in my Pontiac Solstice. If any of you realize how small the windshield is on one of these cars, you'll understand why I wanted to find something else. I went to several websites to try to locate a mount that would hold my XM but wouldn't be in the way. The ARKON SR088-TS-1 mount is exactly what I was looking for. I mounted it on the floor by loosening the floorbolt on the inside passenger seat. PERFECT! Now it's out of the way and a good height without being too tall.
